VALLEJO — The Women’s Council for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers unveiled its new state-of-the-art public outreach tool, an information and e-commerce website, at the association’s 69th Annual Convention in Long Beach, Aug. 14.
The project was developed by the Solano-based policy advocacy firm BrandGOV Inc. The company was awarded the contract by the council’s board of directors.
The Women’s Council for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers is a national nonprofit focused on housing and socio-economic issues and elevating the status of women in the real estate industry, according to a press release to announce the project.
In addition to training and leadership programs for members, the group provides mentoring and scholarships for students interested in the profession; free financial literacy classes for the public; and a downpayment assistance grant for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers. It was founded 45 years ago and now has local chapters throughout the United States.
The Women’s Council is a part of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the oldest minority trade association in the country. The association works on educational and policy issues meant to ensure accessible and equal housing opportunities for all.
